p.s.: I do not necessarily agree that using posix shell is
cumbersome, because my experience is that there is not much to handle
differently (as explained in the examples before). I do however respect
the choice of using bash and I like that this project uses it
consistently (not using /bin/sh and expecting /bin/bash).
