[pass] Finding a way to accept patches (Re: Patch: Do not depend on verbose flags in Makefile)

Ahhh this is silly. I'm still here reading patches. Merging will come
in big batches, with feedback as well. I know you all have been
patiently waiting. I understand the frustration. I've had guests
staying with me, and they're finally gone tomorrow, when I can return
to my office and review patches.

So please, don't get too worked up. I'll be merging things soon.
