branch pager: show passwords with $PAGER?

Hello,

I cannot properly clean out my terminal (gnome-terminal, ctrl-l does not
clean/reset properly), so the passwords stay in the shell output/memory
for a long time.
For now, I manually configured a keyboard shortcut for reset on this
dumb terminal and this alias:
alias clss='clear && echo -en "\e[3J"'

I saw the branch pager, is there any further development on this?
This would cleanly solve the issue, if results are piped to a pager.

Or could this be implemented as an extension?

Thanks
Martin
