Sublime Text and Tab Completion

Hello,

I would like to use Sublime Text when editing. I've tried using echo EDITOR
in several different ways but I think I need to use it explicitly with pass
and I'm not sure how to do that. Could you please explain it step by step?

I would like to use tab completion but it is not working.

Can someone please help me with these things?

Mac 10.15.1
