[pass] Importing tests

Hi Von,

Thank you for your hard work on the test suite. I'm importing it into the
pass tree right now. Please send me your ssh public key (offlist) so that I
can give you commit access to the tests/ subdirectory for continued
development.

I am cleaning up lots of stylistic, bash, and logic issues. After I commit
this, you might want to do a read-through and understand what's changed so
that you don't repeat the same mistakes.
