[pass] Add optional subdirectory to grep command

I submitted a patch that includes the behaviour you describe. You can

This is also a reminder to Jason: What about the old patch? Are you
still interested (or is anyone else)? What should be changed?
There where some comments by David which I can address if there is any
chance that this patch will get merged.
