Well, google groups is a free option and quite easy (as it seems). I'm
unfamiliar with creating mailing lists and therefor can't give you any
other recommendation.

This mailing list is specifically created for questions/help/announcements
regarding password-store. People subscribe to this list because of
password-store and related things but not something else. If you have
specific questions for scripting and/or security experts, there are
extremely useful (resp.) stackoverflow [1] and stackexchange [2]
alternatives where you can get a lot more feedback and perhaps even better
as the security domain is a lot broader than just the subscribers of this
mailing list.
I wouldn't be surprised if some people on this list are also present on
these alternatives.

I hope this can help you further with your project and allows you to setup
a community around your project and find new ways of finding answers to
your questions.
