That just means ppl haven't changed their remotes.

if you choose an ultimatum date, like say in 3 months, and announce that
on that date git:// transport will be closed in favor of https, then it
gives time to transition.

you can announce this on the git repos' description and on the project
web page to make sure everyone sees it.
