Question about password timeout

I'm trying pass for the first time, and have only slightly more experience with GPG.

I found that when I entered my passphrase, I'm able to view my passwords, copy to clipboard, etc.

However, after any amount of time or even a reboot, I'm never asked for my passphrase again.

Is this a pass setting, a gpg setting, or both?
