Thanks for the patch! I really appreciate it. A few comments in-line
below. Could you CC v2 of this to wireguard at lists.zx2c4.com?

Also, how would you feel about doing the same to wg.8 (in the same
repo)? It has basically the same set of issues.

It's 2020 now, but what would you think of retaining the original

Looks like you removed the (8) on wg-quick there by accident.
